MAC Selena Collection!

Guys this was an experience for the books. I took the day off knowing that it was going to be a crazy day, I "had" to get my hands on some of this collection.

Story Time:

I was in High School when Selena died, it was so tragic. I loved her so much! She was the ULTIMATE Latina bomb shell! She had it all, looks, talent; girl could sing! She was overall kind and down to earth. There wasn't anything not to like about her.

Music has always been a passion of mine and I sure did love her voice, still do! Anyways her death was super tragic and horrible. I admire the Quintanilla family for working so hard to keep her memory alive for all of us fans. The most recent of course is the MAC Selena Collection!

Ok guys now for the release day story that took place on 10/06/16!

As you can see from this snapchat our adventure started extremely early!

We drove 45 minutes away just to avoid as much of the crazy crowds as possible. 

We went to the Layton Hills Mall here in UT.

We got there so early that the mall wasn't even open. 

 We were freezing but it didn't matter one bit!

I have to give Macy's at Layton Hills Mall mad props!

They were SUPER organized. 

This is one of the signs they had; they were in every entry door. 

We stalked every door until a security guard opened the doors for us.
The first thing he asked me was "Are you here for the Selena Collections?"
I must have had that stamped all over my face, ha ha! 

My sister Marlene, who I had this adventure with; ran for basically both of us

because I couldn't keep up, it was hilarious! We were determined to be the first in line.

You guessed it; we were the first ones in line!!!
We "had" to record our victory with a selfie!

First in line felt amazing! We are hardcore fans and waking up super early paid off! 

BTW here we are bare faced and all to a makeup event! ha ha!

As I mentioned The Layton Hills Mall staff, was very organized.
They came out and cheered us on they even gave us waters and candy.
They also gave us these forms to fill out our personal info

and all of the products that we wanted. 

The wait was FINALLY over! We got in!

All that was left was to shop until we dropped!

Can we take a quick look at this MAC girl?! 

She was decked out dressed like Selena, from her outfit to her hair!

She was so sweet and cool!

And here it is...our adventure for the Selena Collection paid off. 

Complete success! Two crazy Selena fans, got to partake in the fun.

It was incredible, the Macy's MAC counter
 was jamming out to her music and selling it like crazy.
They had purple festive balloons and were taking pictures of us. 

This is an experience I will NEVER forget! 

I must admit that I got a little emotional, no joke! Don't judge LOL!

This was the amazing collection and display! 

 This is what I bought for myself out of the collection. 

Keep in mind that I actually bought stuff for a friend and for my sister 

so I technically got a lot more, but this is what I kept for myself. 

I have to be honest, it hurt a little to actually use my lipstick. 

Yes, I'm a nerd, but I wanted to keep it new....well kinda.

It is my favorite so far! Amor Prohibido is a beautiful brownish nude shade.

This shade is called Dreaming of You and it's a deep burgundy.

This is the only matte shade in the collection. 

It's also beautiful of course!

Ok that is all that I have tried from the collection so far. I have no intentions on using my brush, I purchased it for memorabilia purposes only. Silly, yes but who cares.

My bronzer/blush I've yet to use called Techno Cumbia, I will be using this but it's hard to want to use it because her name will eventually rub off. The compact is cute and at the end of the day I can just keep the packaging to remind myself of this fun crazy little adventure.

Favorite Sring Lippies

Hey guys, I am really excited to share my favorite spring lippies with y'all. I love spring and it's a great time to break out some fun bright colors. I've incorporated liquid lipsticks, regular lipsticks, a crayon type lipstick and a few lip glosses.

 Here are swatches from each lippie seen pictured above in the same order.

Starting with the first one, it is the Two Faced Melted in Peony

This is such a beautiful color.  It's not as in your face as some of the colors I will be sharing but it's also not a nude color.         

The next one is also by Two Faced in Fuchsia

I was a little torn with picking this one because it is so bold.  This is one of those lippies that is perfect for the spring and summer. The thing is that there really aren't rules about when you can or can't wear certain colors, just where what you like when you want.                       

Moving on to Stila (by far some of my all time favorite liquid lippies!) in Como

This is such a stunning color. I know purple is one of those colors that you either love or hate. I personally love it! (I contemplated adding Heroine by MAC too but I decided on this tone better)

Next is also by Stila in Patina

This is a beautiful mauve color. This is one of those colors that can look very different on everyone based on your skin tone. I really enjoy this color. 

It was SO hard to minimize my all time favorite lipsticks MAC to two favorite spring ones.

Let's start with MAC Creme de la femme (my only Frost lipstick)

Ok as I've already mentioned I am usually not a fan of frosted lipsticks at all but let me tell you this color is absolutely gorgeous! It has a light sheen but what I love about it is that it's literally a perfect you lip color but better. When I wear this it makes my lips look smooth, moisturized and just gorgeous. I get so many compliments when I wear this color. It's one that you have to try to see for yourself.








Next is also by MAC in Rebel

Ok most will think I'm crazy because it looks so dark and most are trying to get away from dark tones for the spring. Here's the thing though this is such a beautiful plummy purple. It's so pretty. Check out the swatch it's so so pretty.












Next up I am going to share Colourpop Lippie Stix in Brink

This color is so pretty because it's a peachy nude. The color pay off on these lippie stix's are amazing. They are also very comfortable to wear. This is what I reach for when I feel I want a subtle color with a hint of orange. It is such a lovely color.











Next up I have Bite Beauty lip gloss in Bellini

This gloss is pretty pigmented for a gloss and extremely beautiful. It has a little tackiness to it but nothing uncomfortable or annoying. I love hoe pretty it makes my pout look.












Next up are the lovely and all time favorite lip glosses for me.
The NXY Butter gloss in Apple Strudel and Raspberry Tart

I can't even begin to tell you how much I love these lip glosses. These are so comfortable, they smell SO good. I love everything about these glosses. These are not highly pigmented by any means but they are lovely.

Monthly Favorite January 2016

Hey guys welcome to February!! Omg just like that the first month of the new year has flown by. January was a great month to try out new things though. These were all my top favorites for the month.

Starting off let's go right into the :
Tarte Stroke of midnight limited edition Airbrush Flawless Foundation brush

This has been NO joke the most loved and used item this month. I need to seriously wash mine because every single time I have done my makeup I've used this amazing brush. Because of this brush I will be purchasing future Tarte Holiday Brush sets without thinking twice about it. If you want to read more about this and the other brushes in this collection click here.

Here is another product that I just love so much! I also did a full post on this gem so click here if you want to read all about it. I love everything in this palette it was a great Christmas present to myself.

Next up we have the Colourpop Kathleen Lights Where the night is colab.

You guys these shadows are GORGEOUS!!! I love all four of them but if I had to pick my #1 from these shadows, hands down the rose gold color in Weenie it's amazeballs! If you guys have never tried colourpop shadows you are missing out. My obsession with this brand is legit!

Next up is a new setting spray by Maybelline Master fix

I am totally loving this you guys. I think I like it better than the Loreal one. It's a little cheaper and just as good! I love that it didn't break me out. I purchased the wet n wild spray which I actually really liked but then it broke me out, sad face! So that one is not good if you have sensitive skin. This one worked wonders and didn't cause any breakouts!

Next is the Lush: Herbalism 

You guys this stuff is amazing for sensitive problematic skin.This has done wonders for my skin and I highly recommend it. Yet another product that I did a full post on, check it out here.

Next is my new HOLY GRAIL nude lip color obsession!
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Bow N Arrow 

Where has this lipstick been my entire life? I love love love it! Can you tell ;)
Guys this color is so deceiving it looks NOTHING like the package claims it should. I just happen to go into a Sephora and tried it on. It's gorgeous!

Here is a little selfie with me wearing this gorgeous lipstick. Not at all what it looks like in the tube right? Like I said it's worth you checking out.

I hope I haven't bored you too much, here is the last product of the month.
MAC lipstick in Stone

This has to be one of the most difficult colors for anyone to describe. To me it's a muted grayish taupe-brown with a Matte finish. This is such a unique color, I really love it and it's a great addition to my MAC collection!

 And you know I had to include another selfie of me wearing this gorgeous lipstick!

Mummy Makeup!

Are you guys prepared to see something truly creepy?! LOL my almost bare face...ha ha ha, NO really this is my costume reveal for this year and a pictorial of the steps I took to create my MUMMY look!

This is my final look! I love the way it turned out and practice makes perfect so hopefully by Halloween it will be even better.☺

What I used to complete this look:
Revlon Photo Ready: In a color lighter then my own (unfortunately I can't tell you the shade)
Maybelline Dream Pure BB: Medium Sheer also lighter then my own complexion.
bhcosmetics: Contour and Blush Palette (for white shade)
2 Coastal Scents Shadows: Vibrant Red and Antique Lilac
2 Morphe Shadows: In Coal ES28 and Velveteen ES72
MAC  Painterly and MAC Blacktrack fluidline gel liner
Jesse's Girl: liquid liner black
WetnWild:Fantasy Makers black

So go ahead and apply your very pale foundation, set everything with that stark white highlighting color in the palette. Then I used the red eye shadow and focused it on the bottom of the eyes, the corners and a little on the top. I used the black as the all over eyelid shade and used the gray to blend it all. As you can see I also shaded in my eyebrows ha ha ha. Who says a mummy can't have eyebrows on fleek?!

Whiteout your lips with the MAC painterly and use the gray eyeshadow to shade in your face, like you would normally contour but with gray.

Then comes a favorite part of mine. Make a kiss face and use your liquid liner to fill in your lines, kind of like a dramatic smoker mouth or smoker lips. Then I used the WetnWild lipstick in the center of my mouth leaving the rest white.

Here you want to use the gray, black and purple shadows to intensify the cheek bones and contours of the face. Deepen everything up until you are happy with the results.

I finished up by adding mascara, making more lines and adding black to my waterline and tightline.
Then you end up with a fabulous Mummy face and all you have left to do is add your bandages.

Fall Favorites!

Hey there gorgeous! Welcome to October! As I have mentioned a ton of times on my blog already, Fall is my all time favorite time of the year. I really really really love everything to do with Fall. I am so happy that it is finally October and that I can decorate for Halloween!

I have a fun plan for blog posts this month so stay tuned.

I wanted to do a fun tag today about my Fall Favorites. This was a tag created by the fabulous Jaclyn Hill on Youtube and my lovely friend Becci did it on her blog with a twist. My post will be Becci's version☺.

Question #1 Favorite Fall Candy
Candy Corn of course! I love candy corn so much, we go through it like nobodies business at my house. I know you either love it or hate it and I love it!

 

#2 Favorite Fall Candle

I love anything vanilla and adding pumpkin marshmallow to it just adds the perfect touch. If you haven't smelled this, you REALLY should. So yea it's the BBW Vanilla Pumpkin Marshmallow candle.

#3 Favorite Clothing/Accessory

I LOVE flannel it screams Fall! I have flannel in almost every color. This particular one is a new one that I've yet to wear. Boots are the BEST and most wonderful accessory! Shoes can be an accessory right?!

#4 Favorite Drink

Starbucks Caramel Machiatto! Oh it's SO delicious! I love it Iced, cold or in the fall I prefer it warm! Yum! Now don't get me wrong, just like everybody and their moms, I love a good pumpkin spice latte too BUT nothing is better than a yummy caramel machiatto.

#5 Favorite Fall lipstick/s

So here are 3 lipsticks that I love love love! 2 of these are VERY similar they are the MAC Cosmetics lipsticks in Diva and Sin, beautiful deep colors perfect for the fall. My new favorite Fall lipstick is the Ofra liquid lipstick in Miami Fever, I've been wearing it non stop since I got it.

#6 Favorite Blush

This is hands down my  absolute favorite Fall blush! It's the LORAC Baked Matte Satin Blush in Hollywood! It is gorgeous! Perfect for this time of the year.

#7 Favorite Fall Movie/s

I have two Fall Favorite movies Practical Magic and Hocus Pocus! These are my all time favorites! I play these non stop in the Fall. 

#8 Favorite Fall TV show/s

I couldn't pick just one on this question either so I decided on The Walking Dead and Scandal!

These keep me very entertained.

#9 Favorite Costume/s

Bride of Frankenstein...

 

 

My Gpsy costume, everyone said I looked like Esmeralda from Disney's Hunchback of Notre-Dame and lastly my Pippi Longstocking costume when everyone said I looked like the Wendy's Restaurant girl. Either way these were all my favorite costumes. I love Halloween SO much it is by far my absolute favorite Holiday! I dress up EVERY year!

#10 Favorite Thanksgiving Food
Turkey of course!  It's not Thanksgiving without the main dish, I love turkey!

#11 Favorite Fall Nail Polish
Julie G Stiletto. This is a beautiful grayish nude, so so pretty! I love Julie G polishes they stay on pretty long for being a regular polish.

#12 Favorite Fall Trend
um BOOTS, any kind of boots!
Here are some of my favorites and clearly I have a thing for black boots. I have a ton of them but these are my faves.

#13 Favorite Album/Song/Music
Guys this one was the hardest question for me to answer. It has to be my latin music! I love Cumbias, Merengue, Salsa and some Reggaeton. Multiple artist/albums. Now as for English music, in the Fall for whatever reason I love some good country music. I love Rascal Flatts, Lady Antebellum, Tim McGraw omg the list goes on and on.
So yea there you have it.

This one cracks me up, Vampires duh! ha ha ha! Vamps rule!
