Monthly Favorite January 2016

Hey guys welcome to February!! Omg just like that the first month of the new year has flown by. January was a great month to try out new things though. These were all my top favorites for the month.

Starting off let's go right into the :
Tarte Stroke of midnight limited edition Airbrush Flawless Foundation brush
This has been NO joke the most loved and used item this month. I need to seriously wash mine because every single time I have done my makeup I've used this amazing brush. Because of this brush I will be purchasing future Tarte Holiday Brush sets without thinking twice about it. If you want to read more about this and the other brushes in this collection click here.

Next fave to follow is also a Tarte product:
The Holiday Tarte 2015 Limited Edition Light Party Makeup Set
Here is another product that I just love so much! I also did a full post on this gem so click here if you want to read all about it. I love everything in this palette it was a great Christmas present to myself.

Next up we have the Colourpop Kathleen Lights Where the night is colab.
You guys these shadows are GORGEOUS!!! I love all four of them but if I had to pick my #1 from these shadows, hands down the rose gold color in Weenie it's amazeballs! If you guys have never tried colourpop shadows you are missing out. My obsession with this brand is legit!

Next up is a new setting spray by Maybelline Master fix
I am totally loving this you guys. I think I like it better than the Loreal one. It's a little cheaper and just as good! I love that it didn't break me out. I purchased the wet n wild spray which I actually really liked but then it broke me out, sad face! So that one is not good if you have sensitive skin. This one worked wonders and didn't cause any breakouts!

Next is the Lush: Herbalism

You guys this stuff is amazing for sensitive problematic skin. This has done wonders for my skin and I highly recommend it. Yet another product that I did a full post on, check it out here.

Next is my new HOLY GRAIL nude lip color obsession!
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Bow N Arrow
Where has this lipstick been my entire life? I love love love it! Can you tell ;)
Guys this color is so deceiving it looks NOTHING like the package claims it should. I just happen to go into a Sephora and tried it on. It's gorgeous!
Here is a little selfie with me wearing this gorgeous lipstick. Not at all what it looks like in the tube right? Like I said it's worth you checking out.

I hope I haven't bored you too much, here is the last product of the month.
MAC lipstick in Stone
This has to be one of the most difficult colors for anyone to describe. To me it's a muted grayish taupe-brown with a Matte finish. This is such a unique color, I really love it and it's a great addition to my MAC collection!
And you know I had to include another selfie of me wearing this gorgeous lipstick!

Ok guys that sums up my January monthly favorites, thank you so much for stopping by.

Have a great day and enjoy February!

October Monthly Favorites 2016

Hey guys I'm back. Welcome to November! I had a wonderful long birthday weekend. I had a blast on Halloween and celebrating my birthday on November first.

I don't have too many favorites for October but I will have a ton for November, I just I know it! I got a few things for my birthday and I will be doing some reviews, swatches and stuff coming up, so stay tuned.

Ok let's start out with the Bath and Body Works Candle in Caramel Pumpkin Swirl
This candle is PERFECT for this time of the year, absolutely amazing! I highly recommend this yummy candle. It makes your entire house smell divine!

Next up is the Dr. Brandt Anti-Aging Mattifying Lotion
I got this a while back in an ipsy bag but just opened it and started using it and I love it. I wear it over my regular moisturizer as a base and then my primer. With all those steps that I take it really helps reduce my oily t-zone during the day. I fully plan on buying the full size.

Next up I have the Maybelline Master Prime Blur + Smooth
I wanted to try a drug store primer because I really only own high end ones. I have to say I was pretty impressed with this one. It did a good job at blurring my imperfections and prolonged my makeup. I think this is a great drugstore option and would recommend it for sure.

Next up is the Loreal Telescopic Shocking Extensions Mascara
This mascara is not new by any means but I wanted to try out a new one and picked this one up. I do the water proof version because my eyelashes point straight down and this helps keep the curl. I love the longevity and the formula. I think its fantastic and fully plan on repurchasing. This was a great discovery for me!

Those are all of my favorites for October but I did want to share a few Halloween pictures with you guys to finish off today's post.
My son was Doc Brown from Back to the Future, I was a mummy and My Husband was the Explorer that found the mummy. Ha ha ha
Here is a closeup of my mummy makeup/costume.
And here are all of my siblings and spouses and kids. It was so fun!

That does it for me today. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Much Love,

August 2015 Monthly Favorites!

Hello lovelies how are you all doing today? I can't believe it's already Monthly favorites time. Today is the last day of August, like my goodness, this year is going by so quickly it's insane!
Anywho here are my monthly favorites, yep and one repeat from last month. I've been wearing it so much that it had to make another appearance.
Let's start with what I think is my new favorite all time candle from Bath and Body Works COCONUT LEAVES...OMG its AMAZING! This sent is delish!
It says that it's A Tantalixingly tropical mix of coconut milk, macademia nuts and fresh grren sugarcane.

Next up is the Makeup Forever Pro Finish Powder in  the shade 120
This is such a beautiful powder. I get extra oily in the summer months, and I love that I can throw this into my purse and touch up whenever I feel I need it without looking like a cake face. It is so soft and smooth, it's a must have product.

Next up we have Maybelline Dream Bronze BB
Click here for a full review!

Next up is the Lorac Heartbreaker palette. Click here to see a full review. This is the perfect summer palette. It's been fun.
Another must have summer item is this Maybelline the Falsies Flared waterproof mascara.
I have some pretty stubborn lashes that always point straight down. I use waterproof mascara year round to get them to stay up and pretty. I like this mascara a lot.
I try not to do repeats but somehow this one snuck in. I just love this color so much! It's the NYX butter lipstick in BLS17 POPS EXPLOSIF. The formula is so creamy and soft it's such a beautiful lipstick.
Next up is the Wet n Wild Contouring Palette in Caramel Toffee

This is such an inexpensive beautiful product, I plan on doing a full review very soon on this so please stay tuned. Just a heads up, it's SO worth checking it out!

Ok the last favorite for this month is the REVO lip balm in Strawberry!
I honestly think this is my new favorite lip balm of life. If it wasn't for me owning a ton of lip balms I would buy more of these. I completely plan on buying more when I get done with the rest I have. If you haven't tried them, do it! They do not disappoint!

Ok my loves, I am SO excited for September as it brings with it the fall season, my absolute favorite time of the year!

Maybelline Dream Bronze BB Review

Hey loves it's another drug store makeup review. I purchased this about a month ago and wanted to really test it out to give you all a full review.

What it claims to do:
BB cream with 8 great skin benefits for a sunkissed glow with a good skin twist.
For all skin types. Sheer coverage.

Why You'll Love It

BB creams combine skincare + makeup in 1 simple step. 8-in-1 sunkissed glow perfector:
  • Illuminates skin
  • Warms skin tone
  • Evens
  • Veils imperfections
  • Protects with SPF 25
  • Hydrates thirsty skin
  • Refreshes
  • Smooths

For Best Results

Apply a thin layer of Dream Bronze BB cream on skin. Can be used with or without a moisturizer.

My overall rating:

Price: I paid $7.99 at Walmart for this product, but the price will depend on where you buy it. It can vary but it's less than $10.
Packaging: I love the squeeze bottle. It makes it easy to control the amount you want to apply.
Longevity:  So if you mix this with another BB cream or foundation it will last just as long as the foundation does. If you wear it on it's own however it seemed to not last very long at all. Maybe 1-2 hours max. This is a product that does transfer, so just be aware and be careful.
Quality: This definitely gives you sheer coverage on it's own. I personally would not recommend wearing it alone as it does not provide enough coverage. It will not even out your skin or provide any form of coverage. It does provide a gorgeous healthy glow. On it's own I think that the glow is a little orange however mixed with another BB cream OR foundation it gives a beautiful natural glow.
Overall rating: a solid A This product has extremely fine glitter/shimmer. You do not feel any grittiness or texture at all. It is very smooth and it applies like a liquid highlighter. I love that it provides and SPF 25 and it doesn't have the strong scent of SPF It actually has no scent. This is a lovely product that I would recommend and would repurchase myself.

There you have it lovelies. I really do like this product. I am looking forward to continue using it in the cooler months to give me that sun glow. Other than the claims that it veils imperfections (which I didn't really think it would do by itself), all other claims seem to be true. I love to wear mine with either my regular Maybelline Dream Pure BB or the Maybelline Dream Wonder Fluid Touch Foundation all of which I love.

Maybelline is one of my favorite drug store products and this one does not dissapoint.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Much Love,

May Monthly Favorites

This is one of my favorite videos to watch on YouTube so I decided I would make it a monthly post. It is insane that tomorrow is the last day of May. This year is going by so quickly. This was definitely a great month to try out so many new products though. Here are a few that I used and have loved this month.

Jaclyn Hill Favorites collaboration with Morphe:
I wanted to start off with the very anticipated Jaclyn Hill Favorites collaboration with Morphe. I was so happy when I heard that Morphe was relaunching it because I didn't get it the first time around.  This is limited edition palette and I knew I had to have it because Jaclyn Hill is perfection! The palette itself is super pretty. If you couldn't get this palette don't fret my friends you can get the individual colors (please refer to picture for color reference). You can purchase these colors on the Morphe website for just $2 each. Don't let the price fool you, I will sum it up by telling you guys that these are very pigmented colors, they are all incredibly smooth and they don't have crazy fallout everywhere.  I love this palette to the point that I ordered other individual shades which I love just as much.

Kathleen Lights Collaboration with ColourPop:
My next favorite is from the beautifully talented Kathleen Lights, another gorgeous YouTuber. Can you guys tell I have a little addiction watching YouTube?! ha ha ha. Any ways she did an awesome collaboration with ColourPop. If you have never tried their products I urge you too. They are amazing in every aspect of the word. They are super pigmented and very creamy. This is not my first ColourPop purchase and I know it won't be my last. This made it in my favorites this month because I have been wearing the heck out these shadows. My favorite shadow is the one she named after herself (Kathleen Lights) it's SO pretty!

Lush Lip Scrub:
The Lush lip scrub has done wonders for my lips. I am unfortunate in that I have horribly dry lips, this product helps me so much. I use it at least once or twice a week. I am huge Lush fan in general, all of their products are natural. They have a few fun flavors to pick from too. I even got one of my sisters into their stuff.
L'oreal Magic Lumi:
This was a product suggested by my friend Becci and I love it so much! I do not use this product as a primer as it's meant to be used. I have normal to oily skin, meaning my T-zone is oily however the rest of my face is normal. I actually use this product with my full coverage foundations to sheer it out and to add that gorgeous luminosity to my skin. I highly recommend it.

Maybelline Fit me Matte + Poreless:
I love this powder. It is finely milled, it's super silky soft. I use this to set my foundation and through out the day to touch up when needed. It does not cake up one bit, it's wonderful. I especially love the price. Can't go wrong with this powder, sometimes I even use it alone as my foundation. This is a great drugstore product that I use instead of my Makeup Forever high end powder.

Beauty Secrets:
There is not much to say about this product other than it's great. I love how it smells (like coconuts). It keeps my cuticles nice and moisturized. I get this at Sally's Beauty Supplies. I have recently been getting my nails done, and this product has helped my cuticles from looking thick and nasty.

Revlon Lash Adhesive:

This is my holy grail eyelash glue and the fact that it came out in black, sold me. I love it just as much if not a little more than the original. I have tried a lot of eyelash glues and this is the best, hands down.I am allergic to latex and this product doesn't have it and it doesn't irritate my eyes.

Morphe Contour Brush:
Ok this is one of the first (but not last) Morphe brushes I have ever owned and I am WOWED by how soft and amazing this is. My contour game is on point thanks to this little guy! I bought a set of Morphe brushes, so stay tuned for that brush review.

Real Techniques Blending and Lash-brow groomer:

Real Technique brushes are by far one of my favorite brushes out there. They are extremely affordable and awesome. They are so soft and do exactly what they are meant to do. These are two of my newer Real Technique brushes and I am LOVING them!

Benefit Roller Lash:
You guys made it to the end, this one is the last but certainly not least. I have used it non stop since getting it. I love it. It does not flake it's very black and it helps keep my curl. This one is a little pricy but hey, sometimes you do get what you pay for. I personally love it!

Thank you SO much for hanging out with me today, sorry this post was a bit long. I will try to have fewer favorites in the future. Feel free to give me any suggestions you might have. Thank you for all of your love and support, please don't forget to follow and have a fabulous weekend!

Much Love,
