May Monthly Favorites

This is one of my favorite videos to watch on YouTube so I decided I would make it a monthly post. It is insane that tomorrow is the last day of May. This year is going by so quickly. This was definitely a great month to try out so many new products though. Here are a few that I used and have loved this month.

Jaclyn Hill Favorites collaboration with Morphe:
I wanted to start off with the very anticipated Jaclyn Hill Favorites collaboration with Morphe. I was so happy when I heard that Morphe was relaunching it because I didn't get it the first time around.  This is limited edition palette and I knew I had to have it because Jaclyn Hill is perfection! The palette itself is super pretty. If you couldn't get this palette don't fret my friends you can get the individual colors (please refer to picture for color reference). You can purchase these colors on the Morphe website for just $2 each. Don't let the price fool you, I will sum it up by telling you guys that these are very pigmented colors, they are all incredibly smooth and they don't have crazy fallout everywhere.  I love this palette to the point that I ordered other individual shades which I love just as much.

Kathleen Lights Collaboration with ColourPop:
My next favorite is from the beautifully talented Kathleen Lights, another gorgeous YouTuber. Can you guys tell I have a little addiction watching YouTube?! ha ha ha. Any ways she did an awesome collaboration with ColourPop. If you have never tried their products I urge you too. They are amazing in every aspect of the word. They are super pigmented and very creamy. This is not my first ColourPop purchase and I know it won't be my last. This made it in my favorites this month because I have been wearing the heck out these shadows. My favorite shadow is the one she named after herself (Kathleen Lights) it's SO pretty!

Lush Lip Scrub:
The Lush lip scrub has done wonders for my lips. I am unfortunate in that I have horribly dry lips, this product helps me so much. I use it at least once or twice a week. I am huge Lush fan in general, all of their products are natural. They have a few fun flavors to pick from too. I even got one of my sisters into their stuff.
L'oreal Magic Lumi:
This was a product suggested by my friend Becci and I love it so much! I do not use this product as a primer as it's meant to be used. I have normal to oily skin, meaning my T-zone is oily however the rest of my face is normal. I actually use this product with my full coverage foundations to sheer it out and to add that gorgeous luminosity to my skin. I highly recommend it.

Maybelline Fit me Matte + Poreless:
I love this powder. It is finely milled, it's super silky soft. I use this to set my foundation and through out the day to touch up when needed. It does not cake up one bit, it's wonderful. I especially love the price. Can't go wrong with this powder, sometimes I even use it alone as my foundation. This is a great drugstore product that I use instead of my Makeup Forever high end powder.

Beauty Secrets:
There is not much to say about this product other than it's great. I love how it smells (like coconuts). It keeps my cuticles nice and moisturized. I get this at Sally's Beauty Supplies. I have recently been getting my nails done, and this product has helped my cuticles from looking thick and nasty.

Revlon Lash Adhesive:

This is my holy grail eyelash glue and the fact that it came out in black, sold me. I love it just as much if not a little more than the original. I have tried a lot of eyelash glues and this is the best, hands down.I am allergic to latex and this product doesn't have it and it doesn't irritate my eyes.

Morphe Contour Brush:
Ok this is one of the first (but not last) Morphe brushes I have ever owned and I am WOWED by how soft and amazing this is. My contour game is on point thanks to this little guy! I bought a set of Morphe brushes, so stay tuned for that brush review.

Real Techniques Blending and Lash-brow groomer:

Real Technique brushes are by far one of my favorite brushes out there. They are extremely affordable and awesome. They are so soft and do exactly what they are meant to do. These are two of my newer Real Technique brushes and I am LOVING them!

Benefit Roller Lash:
You guys made it to the end, this one is the last but certainly not least. I have used it non stop since getting it. I love it. It does not flake it's very black and it helps keep my curl. This one is a little pricy but hey, sometimes you do get what you pay for. I personally love it!

Thank you SO much for hanging out with me today, sorry this post was a bit long. I will try to have fewer favorites in the future. Feel free to give me any suggestions you might have. Thank you for all of your love and support, please don't forget to follow and have a fabulous weekend!

Much Love,

Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette Review

Hey guys hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend. I was able to enjoy spending quality time with my family plus the added bonus of having a three day weekend never hurts. Even though all of that is great let's not forget that most importantly we have to give credit where credit is owed, by thanking and telling our troops how grateful we are for all that they do! Their courage is selfless and amazing!

Today I wanted to share a review on a newer palette that I "had" to get my hands on. Let's be honest guys, if it looks and smells like chocolate and it's a second to the very much loved original Chocolate Bar, it was bound to be mine. First off the packaging is perfection, so stinking cute! I love EVERYTHING about it.

This product can be found in your Local Sephora, Ulta or directly from the Too Faced Website:
This palette is $49 and comes with a total of 16 eye shadows
This product was launched as part of the Too Faced
2015 Spring Collection

PROS
I love that unlike the original palette they finally printed the names of the shadows right on above the product. I also like that just like the original palette this one smells divine! These eye shadows are made with antioxidant-rich cocoa powder, giving it that delicious scent. It has a great size mirror and a magnetic closure. The packaging is sleek & would be great for traveling. The color variety is wonderful for a neutral palette. There are combinations of mattes, glitters, shimmers and satin finishes. The satin colors in particular are my favorites with rich color payoff and they glide on like butter. Most of the shadows are easy to apply and blend.

Here are the Shades and finishes:
Licorice: Matte black
Coconut Cream: Matte cream
Nougat: A cool tone light matte brown with hints of peach
Truffled: Matte chocolate
Cocoa Chili: Shimmery matte brown with gold shimmers
Pink Sugar: Iridescent sheer pink shimmer
Puddin': Matte Taupe
Blueberry Swirl:  Deep blue with gray undertones
Peanut Butter: Matte warm camel (orange)
Frosting: Shimmery bronze
Rum Raisin: Shimmery taupe
Mousse: Warm golden brown
Bon Bon: Rose gold
Butter Pecan: Frosty cream

CONS
Some of the Mattes are a bit chalky and patchy which is unfortunate and pretty disappointing. Some are pretty sheer and need to be layered on. The one that gets the most hate is Pink Sugar. Even though I went in knowing that this particular shade is considered a topper (meaning you have to either use glitter glue or just layer it over another shadow for that shimmering affect) I don't mind the extra steps but I know that most won't like how sheer it is and the fact that you have to put so much effort into it, makes it a bit of a dud. The two larger shades in the palette each contain 0.6g less of product than the original Chocolate Bar Palette even though they cost the same.

I wanted to include pictures of me wearing different eye looks with this palette.
Day 1 was a very natural eye makeup look, light and pretty. On this day I used the colors: Coconut Cream, Mousse, Nougat, Truffled & topped off the eyelids with Pink Sugar.
Day 2 was a beautiful bronzy eye makeup look. On this day I used: Butter Pecan,Puddin',Peanut Butter, Hot Fudge and all over the eyelids I did a combination of Caramel and Bon Bon.
Day 3 was my most intense look yet using this palette, and adding false eyelashes. On this day I used: Coconut Cream, Puddin', Peanut Butter, Truffled, Hot fudge a little of the Licorice and the star which is the Blueberry Swirl.

Conclusion:
I give this product a true and solid C
This is not a product I would recommend dropping everything for to run out and buy, unless you are a crazy obsessed makeup junkie like I am. Now with having said that I want to make something clear, I do not regret my purchase one bit, I really don't. I just want to be able to give you guys my truest and honest reviews. No need to sugar coat it, ha ha ha (no Pun intended, ok maybe just a little) I will personally get  a lot of use out of my palette and like I said at the begening, I "had" to have it. In my opinion if you want not only a cute palette but one rich in color payoff and where the formula in all the shades are perfection, go with the original Chocolate Bar. (that is an A rated palette. The only thing missing for the extra plus would have been the name printed above the product)

I will leave you knowing that you will make the best decision for yourself. I am a HUGE Too Faced fan. I love their products but I also love what they stand for.
