May 2016 Monthly Favorites

Hey guys I can't believe it's June already! It's crazy how fast this year seems to be going. Today I have my May monthly favorites, let's get started.

I want to start off with my favorite of the month hands down.
This was the best Mother's Day gift ever! I scored this authentic beauty at Marshalls for $70 It retails normally for $198. I LOVE Marshalls for that very reason! This is the neda WLRU1801 baxter street geranium (615) wallet. It has the zipper that goes around which I love because it's impossible to lose anything! It's a fun color for the summer. I'm obsessed with it! The inside is super spacious and has a lot of slots for your credit cards plus a middle zipper area for change. It's the perfect size. I love it. Can you tell?!

Moving on to two perfumes I got for Mother's Day as well
The first one pictured is the Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh and the second one pictured is the YSL Black Opium Eau de Parfum. They are both so lovely and SO me. I've been using them daily. I may have to buy the full size bottles when I run out. If you want more info on these with the notes and such check my post on these here.

Next is yet another Mother's Day gift, yes I got REALLY spoiled this year.
It's the Benefit's Cheekathon palette, it's so beautiful I literally love every shade in this palette. I highly recommend getting your hands on it.

The last two are drug store products and much more affordable. Let me start with the NYX The Go-To Palette, La Palette indispensable.
I love the shades in this palette. I like that you get 6 eye shadows plus a bronzer (which is pretty dark, use a light hand) a blush and a highlighter. I love love love the highlighter in this palette btw! It's a great inexpensive palette, all of the eye shadows are highly pigmented with a little fall out but nothing horrible.

Last but certainly not least is a product I say is probably the most MUST HAVE out of the bunch.
It is the Garnier Skin Active, Clearly Brighter Sunscreen Brightening Daily Moisturizer.
The Garnier website claims the following:

Visibly brighter, polished-looking skin in one week.

Designed with our Antioxidant Complex of Vitamin C & E, Pine Bark Essence, and gentle exfoliating Lipo-Hydroxyl Acid (LHA), this fast absorbing, non-greasy formula turns dull, rough skin into smooth, polished-looking skin with a more radiant, even tone.

Results:
Clinically proven results.* In 1 week, reveals two key dimensions of brighter looking skin: radiant, more even skin tone and improved skin texture, even reduces wrinkles. *In a clinical test

These are pretty bold claims but I promise you, they are NOT kidding at all. I can tell you by personal experience that my skin looks SO much better over the month that I've been using this product. I will continue to use this through the summer and if you have acne scars or just want more radiant skin give this a try, it's so awesome!

As always thank you so much for stopping by. If you have monthly favorites you want me to check out please let me know.

Have a fabulous rest of your week and weekend. I will see you all Monday with a new post.

Mother's Day Haul (Gifts)

I'm in love with all of my gifts and excited to give them all a try.

First one I want to mention is the Benefits Cheekathon

A $145 value! For $58 at Ulta Beauty
Includes:
  • Full size Hoola Matte Bronzer (0.28 oz)
  • Full size Dandelion Baby-Pink Brightening Blush (0.25 oz)
  • Full size Rockateur Rose Gold Blush (0.17 oz)
  • Full size Dallas Dusty Rose Face Powder (0.32 oz)
  • Full size Coralista Coral-Pink Blush (0.28 oz)
  • Soft, natural-bristle brush
The only one I own and LOVE already is the Hoola bronzer! I can't wait to play with this

Then I got two perfumes. I own a lot of perfumes so I wanted to get the spray pens to carry with me on the go.
The first one I got is the Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh  0.33 oz $25
This smells SO amazing, it's "Spring/Summer in a bottle" I love how cute and girly the glass bottle is. This was the first thing I opened and drenched myself in. HA HA

Fragrance Notes:
  • Natural Raspberry
  • Grapefruit
  • Pear
  •  Violet
  • Wild Rose
  • Apple Blossom
  • Musks
  • Cedarwood
  • Plum
*Experience Daisy Eau So Fresh with this travel-friendly spray pen for the girl on the go. Daisy Eau So Fresh is the whimsical interpretation of the original Daisy fragrance. It's light, woody base infuses a subtle but sharp glimmer of musk for an unexpected twist of radiance.

Next one I was dying to get is the YSL Black Opium Eau de Parfum 0.33 oz $25
I have been wanting to buy this for some time, it smells like a mixture of vanilla and flowers to me. I have the hardest time explaining scents which is why I am adding the notes. You just have to smell this next time you are where fragrances are sold.

Fragrance Notes:
  • Top - Vanilla bean
  • Mid - White flowers
  • Base - Black coffee
*Highly addictive. Seductively intoxicating. Like a shot of adrenaline, the rich coffee bean notes jolt the senses with a high dose of energy, becoming softer and more feminine with the white flowers of jasmine sambac. The sweet sensuality of vanilla beans wraps the fragrance into a gourmand, voluptuous signature.

This beauty here with the cute wallet that attaches was a gift with purchase for getting the two fragrances. I will enjoy this so much this Spring/Summer.
Now let's get into the drug store products.
I had to get my husband to repurchase the tried and true Rimmel Stay Matte Transparent Pressed powder.

If you haven't tried it give a a whirl. Best value ever $5
Next few products are all new to them so I will be reviewing them shortly when I have had a chance to try and enjoy them

We have the Cover Girl Super Sizer Mascara in Very Black
I have heard great thing about this mascara I will keep you guys posted. $7.49
Next is the Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter in Radiant Lights
I love highlighters I am so excited to try this one out! $6

Next is the Essence Make me Brow!
For brow fleekness I thought I would give this a chance. This was the most inexpensive product yet and I am way excited to try it. $2.99

Last makeup item is the NYX Lip Lingerie in LIPLI 07 Satin Ribbon
I can't wait to see if I like this. I love most NYX lip products so I have high hopes for this. I will of course keep you posted. I am going to purchase more if I like them. $6.99

Lastly here is my gorgeous orchids for Mother's Day! I am beyond in love with them!

There you have it guys, my Mother's Day haul! The greatest gift I have though is my son! He is my everything. Hope you all had an amazing Mother's Day, happy belated Mother's Day and see you soon with another post.

May Monthly Favorites

This is one of my favorite videos to watch on YouTube so I decided I would make it a monthly post. It is insane that tomorrow is the last day of May. This year is going by so quickly. This was definitely a great month to try out so many new products though. Here are a few that I used and have loved this month.

Jaclyn Hill Favorites collaboration with Morphe:
I wanted to start off with the very anticipated Jaclyn Hill Favorites collaboration with Morphe. I was so happy when I heard that Morphe was relaunching it because I didn't get it the first time around.  This is limited edition palette and I knew I had to have it because Jaclyn Hill is perfection! The palette itself is super pretty. If you couldn't get this palette don't fret my friends you can get the individual colors (please refer to picture for color reference). You can purchase these colors on the Morphe website for just $2 each. Don't let the price fool you, I will sum it up by telling you guys that these are very pigmented colors, they are all incredibly smooth and they don't have crazy fallout everywhere.  I love this palette to the point that I ordered other individual shades which I love just as much.

Kathleen Lights Collaboration with ColourPop:
My next favorite is from the beautifully talented Kathleen Lights, another gorgeous YouTuber. Can you guys tell I have a little addiction watching YouTube?! ha ha ha. Any ways she did an awesome collaboration with ColourPop. If you have never tried their products I urge you too. They are amazing in every aspect of the word. They are super pigmented and very creamy. This is not my first ColourPop purchase and I know it won't be my last. This made it in my favorites this month because I have been wearing the heck out these shadows. My favorite shadow is the one she named after herself (Kathleen Lights) it's SO pretty!

Lush Lip Scrub:
The Lush lip scrub has done wonders for my lips. I am unfortunate in that I have horribly dry lips, this product helps me so much. I use it at least once or twice a week. I am huge Lush fan in general, all of their products are natural. They have a few fun flavors to pick from too. I even got one of my sisters into their stuff.
L'oreal Magic Lumi:
This was a product suggested by my friend Becci and I love it so much! I do not use this product as a primer as it's meant to be used. I have normal to oily skin, meaning my T-zone is oily however the rest of my face is normal. I actually use this product with my full coverage foundations to sheer it out and to add that gorgeous luminosity to my skin. I highly recommend it.

Maybelline Fit me Matte + Poreless:
I love this powder. It is finely milled, it's super silky soft. I use this to set my foundation and through out the day to touch up when needed. It does not cake up one bit, it's wonderful. I especially love the price. Can't go wrong with this powder, sometimes I even use it alone as my foundation. This is a great drugstore product that I use instead of my Makeup Forever high end powder.

Beauty Secrets:
There is not much to say about this product other than it's great. I love how it smells (like coconuts). It keeps my cuticles nice and moisturized. I get this at Sally's Beauty Supplies. I have recently been getting my nails done, and this product has helped my cuticles from looking thick and nasty.

Revlon Lash Adhesive:

This is my holy grail eyelash glue and the fact that it came out in black, sold me. I love it just as much if not a little more than the original. I have tried a lot of eyelash glues and this is the best, hands down.I am allergic to latex and this product doesn't have it and it doesn't irritate my eyes.

Morphe Contour Brush:
Ok this is one of the first (but not last) Morphe brushes I have ever owned and I am WOWED by how soft and amazing this is. My contour game is on point thanks to this little guy! I bought a set of Morphe brushes, so stay tuned for that brush review.

Real Techniques Blending and Lash-brow groomer:

Real Technique brushes are by far one of my favorite brushes out there. They are extremely affordable and awesome. They are so soft and do exactly what they are meant to do. These are two of my newer Real Technique brushes and I am LOVING them!

Benefit Roller Lash:
You guys made it to the end, this one is the last but certainly not least. I have used it non stop since getting it. I love it. It does not flake it's very black and it helps keep my curl. This one is a little pricy but hey, sometimes you do get what you pay for. I personally love it!

Thank you SO much for hanging out with me today, sorry this post was a bit long. I will try to have fewer favorites in the future. Feel free to give me any suggestions you might have. Thank you for all of your love and support, please don't forget to follow and have a fabulous weekend!

Much Love,
