Ipsy January 2016

Hey guys so today I am going to show you what I got in this months Ipsy bag!
Let's start with this Ofra Cosmetics Universal Eyebrow pencil
I am really looking forward to trying this. The color looks pretty good.

Next up is theBalm Cosmetics Mr. Write (Now) in color deep purple
This is the only product that I used so far and I really like it. It stayed in my water line and under my eye all day without smudging. I'm so glad I got this!

Next is the Skone Cosmetics Smudger Brush
I love getting brushes SO much! I can't wait to see if I like this one. So far Ipsy hasn't disappointed with the brushes I've received in the past. So here's to hoping.

Next is the Hikari Cosmetics Cream Metallic Pigment Shadow
I've only swatched this but OMG so so pretty! I am way excited to create fun looks with this little guy.

Lastly I have the Lasting Smiles Lip Balm in Peppermint Creme
Honestly this is my least favorite product to get in my ipsy bag. I have already given this away to one of my sisters. I get and have so many lip balms that I didn't care for this one at all.

This is everything I got this month guys. I will only be keeping ipsy for one more month. I have ran my course with it and February will be my last month until I cancel it out.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a great day!

Weekly Layouts for Erin Condren Life Planner: Horizontal Layout

Hey loves how are you all doing today? Welcome to a new week. Today I get to share my January weekly layouts with you guys. I have to say that after owning my planner for 7 months I finally have my groove. I enjoy decorating my planner so much! I love how therapeutic it is. I feel like this month was really great overall.
The lighting on some of these pictures aren't great, sorry guys! This layout was a cute penguin snow winter layout. Lots of blue.
The next one is a fun layout for me. It's a fun snowman purple layout. I really dig it. On this week I incorporated the hydrate stickers and a workout sticker which is actually to keep track of my steps on my fitbit.
Deja-vu right?  I couldn't help it, these little penguins are just too cute I "had" to do another layout with them.
Ok this is hands down one of my favorite weekly layouts ever! How stinking cute is this? NO seriously?! ;)
This month I had so many winter layout that I wanted something completely different for this last week. PLUS it's my husband and I's pre-wedding anniversary, 11 years this Jan 28, 2016. This Cinderella theme was so cute and perfect! The quote that you can barely see says "Those who do not believe in MAGIC will never find it." This is yet another favorite layout EVER!

I am so sorry about the picture quality guys these pics do these layouts NO justice.

Thank you so much for stopping by guys, have a fantastic week!

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light

Hey lovelies today I want to talk to you guys about the highly hyped Hourglass Ambient Powders, the one I will be discussing today is the one in dim light.

I purchased this powder at Sephora for $45 it contains 0.35oz

What it claims to do:
Dim Light: A neutral peach beige powder that blurs imperfections and highlights a radiant complexion with the perfect balance of warm and cool tones.
 Story time:
I have been watching Youtobers rave about this product for SO long that I had to have it. I went into a Sephora and looked at them all. The girl asked me what my main purpose for it was and I told her I wanted to set my under eye concealer and wanted a powder that was light and difused the appearance of fine lines.
ok first of all I didn't stop to think that I had already set my eyes that day with another powder and the girl just placed it over what I already had on. It looked flawless, beautiful. I was sold. Let's be real I went in for it, it was going to be mine regardless. I do now not regret my purchase fully but do wish I would have chosen a different color, for my main purpose of a setting powder.

I am of a medium skin tone with yellow undertones and for my complextion I really did think this color would be the best but it's not. At least not for setting purposes. I think it is beautiful as a blush topper or even to add sheen to a bronzer. I think it is a little orange and makes me look way too dark as a setting powder anywhere. I will keep and still use it. I do like it just not for the purpose I purchased it for. Bummer right?!

Anywho, I am hesitant in buying the other shades maybe I will make it a point to get the palette of the 3 shades. We shall see. For any of you that may be interested in this product I wanted to make sure you know what I experienced. I would recommend it to those with a darker complexion or those that want them as a topper. It did give a subtle beautiful color to the skin. It did give the appearance of a flawless complexion so it's still a great product overall.

Thank you so much for stopping by today guys!

Lush: Herbalism

Hey guys today I wanted to talk about this AMAZING product that was recommended to me by none other than my baby sister.
So here is the deal I am a grown up with sensitive acne prone yucky skin. I was getting so much acne and I have literally tried EVERYTHING on the market. Those other products work temporarily but dry my skin out so bad. The acne always comes back. So anyways onto the product that has done wonders for my skin.

Herbalism by Lush!
What it claims:
Herbal cleanser for troubled skin
Battling with oily, blemish-prone skin? Cleanse with Herbalism and experience the power of herbs. Its gently exfoliating, deep-cleansing base of kaolin clay and rice bran mops up excess oils, and a toning blend of rosemary, nettle and chamomile leaves skin feeling fresh, clean and calm. This gentle green giant contains chlorophyllin, which is extracted from alfalfa plants: it’s rich in nourishing vitamins and minerals, and helps to balance out your skin’s oil production. Say hello to clear, balanced skin!

This is 100% natural and the best part IT WORKS!
This comes in two sizes: 3.25oz for $13.95 and  8.4oz for $33.95
You can get this at a Lush store or on their website.
How to use it:
Dampen your skin with warm water. Break off a piece of your cleanser, and mix with a little warm water to create a paste. Massage onto your face and body, rinse thoroughly and pat dry. Follow up with your favorite LUSH moisturizer, and enjoy your soft, smooth skin!
To every product there are pros and cons.

Pros:
A little goes a long way
Gentle
Clears acne
Easy to use
Controls excess oils
Refreshing
Makes skin feel soft and supple

Cons:
A little pricey
It's messy
and it stinks

Guys I bought the small size to make sure that I would actually like it and to see if it would work. Let me sum it up by telling you guys that this is now a holy grail product. A true lifesaver. I encourage you to try it. I've been using this since the early part of November and have noticed a HUGE difference in my skin. I have gotten a few pimples here and there especially around that lovely time of the month that we women love so much! BUT nothing like before and it usually will clear up within a day or two. (I must admit that those times have really been my fault for not keeping up on the cleaning my face twice a day task).

So if you have troublesome skin give this a whirl. OH BTW this does not dry your skin AT ALL!
I use it, my baby sister uses it and my 14 year old nephew is using it. We have all seen amazing results.

Let me know if you have any questions quys.

Have a great week!

Tarte Holiday 2015 Limited Edition: Light of the Party Makeup Set

I got this beautiful palette from Sephora before Christmas and to be honest I was a little skeptical, this holiday set got mixed reviews. Well I wanted to make a post to let you all know that this set is beautiful in every way! I am SO glad that I got my hands on it. I got a lot for my money.

The Tarte holiday gift set includes a mini Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara and a double-ended makeup brush, a takeaway palette in a mirrored recess inside the lid, and a 24-shade eyeshadow palette

This Holiday set cost $59 at Sephora.
Tarte Light of the Party takeaway palette shades:

  • bronzer: Social Butterfly
  • blush: Amazed
  • highlighter: Pink Champagne
  • shadows: Popcorn Strand (matte rose ivory) and Wrapped Up (matte pale pink); Dancer & Prancer (shimmering pink taupe) and Shining Star (smoky metallic bronze); Yule be Surprised (matte chocolate) and Mulberry & Bright (deep shimmery plum with sparkle)

Tarte Light of the Party eyeshadow shades (from far left, top row):
  • Sugar Cookie (soft ivory); In a Flurry (shimmering pearl); Fizz the Season (champagne); It's Snow Time (glistening white); Eggnog (matte yellow cream); What a Wonderful Pearl (pearl matte white)
  • Miracle of Light (bronze gold); Rum Pum Plum (matte rose plum); Tartetini (matte light pink); Baby it's Gold Outside (shimmering rose gold); Peach on Earth (matte peach); Come What Grey (matte slate)
  • Under the Mistle-Taupe (shimmering taupe); Ring-A-Ling (plum mauve); Fireside Chat (dusty rose); Party Favored (matte tan); Gingerbread Mansion (auburn); Chrome for the Holidays (silver)
  • Sleigh Watch (matte dark chocolate); Mulled Wine (matte plum); Cocoa What Fun (matte cocoa); Black Velvet (matte black); Haute Chocolate (matte chestnut); Midnight Kiss (matte navy)

Guys I am truly perplexed as to why this got mixed reviews. In my opinion this entire set does not disappoint at all. The bronzer and blush are beautiful, the eye shadows are pigmented and blend beautifully. Honestly the only negative I can come up with is the bulky yet beautiful packaging. If you can still manage to get your hands on it through amazon or ebay or whatever it's totally worth it.

Thanks for stopping by!

Plan with Me January 2016 Monthly Layout

Hey guys so today I wanted to share my January Monthly layout, pre pen. As mentioned last month I will no longer be posting the post pen pictures because of personal things I wish to keep track of. I know some of you will understand and I thank you!
Here is my super cute layout. I did a winter wonderland theme as you can see. I don't know about you guys but I find decorating my planner very therapeutic. There is something about washi tape, stickers and putting it together that just gives me so much peace. I just love feeling organized and making it pretty really makes me want to actually look at it and follow it. Boring pages just aren't my thing.

Well guys thanks for stopping by today it truly means a lot. I hope you have a fantastic week!

Stay Fabulous,

So here's the deal guys I love 4 out of the 5 brushes. The blush brush isn't my favorite, it's a little too fluffy and not as precise as I would want it to be. Needless to say this is still a huge hit and I would highly recommend it. The quality is on point and let's face it, they are so pretty ;).

BTW I almost forgot to mention the sequence bag these brushes came in I love it! I am actually currently using it to carry my "every day makeup". My on the go bag. It's super sturdy and cute!

I am so glad I got these and have been using them a lot. They are a great addition to my brushes.

I certainly hope you are all enjoying this new year so far! Thank you so much for stopping by!
