Weekly Layout for October 2015

Hey guys, it's that time again! Time to share my weekly layouts for the month of October. Let me just warn you ahead of time, I "may" have gotten a little carried away with Halloween stickers this month. As I have mentioned a ton of times I love Halloween so much, so it was bound to happen.
For this first week I wanted to do a cat layout. I love the way this turned out, I love cats and what better way to represent the first week of October. The washi tape to go with my cat stickers is pretty cool. I also made my own "weekend" flag with washi tape. It looks so cute.
Here is my completed layout. This was a busy fun week.
I have to admit that this is my least favorite layout for the month. Too much green. I don't hate it but it's not my favorite. I do like those creepy spider stickers tho.
I wrote in orange pen to not have so much green show but still not my favorite.
This is my "Monster Mash" layout. I love it! The glitter adds that extra oomph! It's spooktacular.
I got a lot accomplished this week, this has just been a very busy month.
This last one is my "Trick or Treat" layout, this is technically the last week in the October section. I really like the way it turned out.
So here is this week completed.
And last but not least you have my BIRTHDAY week layout. It has Halloween and my b-day Nov 1. This is technically in the November section, which is silly since there is only one day of Nov in this week. Anyways I wanted to make this a Halloweeny spread to finish off the month.
I am still working on this week but this is the somewhat planned out version.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I have so much fun sharing my cute pages with you guys.

Have a great rest of your week!

Much Love,

Witch Fest 2015

Hey loves, I hope you are all having a good day. I am pretty excited about today's blog post! I get to share something fun I did over the weekend.

I attended the wonderful Witch Fest at Gardner Village with my sisters! It is by far my absolute favorite sister tradition.

Once a year you dress up as a witch along with many others and shop till you drop, eat candy and participate in many Halloween activities. We do it every year.

If you go onto the Gardner Village website you can read all about this tradition.
This is just a snip bit about what you see...
“They come wearing elaborate costumes and pointy hats, ready to shop, eat, play and have a lot of witchy fun.”
That honestly pretty much sums up the full day!
Here is a picture of me right outside of my house ready for my fun day!
Every year I make a hat and rock some fun outfit. Here is the blog post to making this hat if you want to check it out.
Here I am with all of my Boo-tiful sisters and niece! Don't we all look Spooktacular?! We all made our own hats. I love each and every one of our hats this year!
Here I am outside of one of my favorite little shops. My sister Marissa and I buy charm bracelets every year amongst other fun nick knacks. (You can see one I bought a few years ago in this picture)
On a side note, I loved my wig so much! Wish that was my real hair, LOL! I feel like it completed my look.
Here is another fun picture to share with all of us in it. You can see all of our personalities just a bit! I look forward to this event every year! Isn't my niece the cutest little witch ever?!

Ok I've gone on and on about this little event and I'm pretty sure you guys get how much I love it!
I leave you with one last fun picture.
This is of us the past 3 years in a row. 2013, 2014 & 2015! Fun huh?!
Let me know if you guys have any fun traditions around this time or any time really? I'd love to know, share them with me.

Have a fantastic week! See you with a new post on Thursday!

Stay fabulous!

Nails Nails Nails

Hey guys so I have been doing my nails for a little over a month now and I've learned a thing or two that I want to share with you guys. Well technically I've been doing my nails off and on since I was 14 years old but recently I started back up again.

Ok so it's never a bad idea to try something new, how will you know if you will like it if you don't try it out?
So on Sept 18th I tried to get coffin nails for the first time. Let me start out by saying that based on my nail shape and fingers it just did not look good on me at all. The guy that did my nails did a fabulous job with the shape (even though not for me) but did a HORRIBLE job at painting my nails. That was $50 down the drain! I had asked for shelac so that it would last longer but with his nail painting skills I couldn't keep them for even 24 hours.
This is a snapchat picture I took the day I got them done. I literally hated the paint job so much that I took it upon myself to file the color off the very next morning. I kept the shape and length for maybe 3 days. I then decided to cut them down a bit.

On October 5th (my anniversary) I went to get them filled.
Please ignore the horrible hang nails, but the shape and color were so me! I have forever rocked short squared nails and I was back in my comfort zone. I got so many compliments on these nails. I loved them!

Then yesterday it was time for another fill....
So I went with a beautiful burgundy fall color with an accent nail that is gold glitter. I stuck to the traditional short squared nails. I really like them. This new guy doing my nails does a really good job on the shape AND painting them. This time around I also did shelac colors. They are worth the cost.

So even though I don't fully regret trying out something new, I was much happier with my usual square short nails. The moral of the story is if it's not broke, why fix it...LOL. Go with what you know will make you happy or hope for the best!

Hope you are all enjoying some fun Fall Festivities, I know I have been.
I am really looking forward to the Witch Fest with my sisters tomorrow! I will post about that soon.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Stay fabulous,

Ipsy October 2015

Hey loves hope all is well I got my ipsy bag pretty early this month, I am pretty excited about that. I am actually really liking most of my products too!

Let's start with the MicaBeauty cream eye shadow in Bronze
This is such a beautiful shade, it reminds me a lot of the Colour Pop shade "Kathleen Lights". I am pretty excited with this shade, it is gorgeous. I wore this shade the day I got it and for the entire weekend just because it was new and because it's the perfect fall shade. It lasted a long time and didn't crease, so kudos to MicaBeauty.

Moving on we have the Lavanilla Laboratories
This mini roller ball fragrance is very beautiful. I am a huge lover of the vanilla scent anyways so I knew I would like this. It warm and rich, it lasted all day on me (which is rare).

Next up we have the Ayres Sunrise Hand Cream
This one is a dud for me guys. I don't like the smell or the film it seems to leave behind, it was just not for me. Not at all a fan.

Next up, the Emite Make Up Tweezers
So I actually really liked these tweezers I like that they are angled and that they came in there own little container so that I can throw them in my purse and have them on the go. I like the way they performed. Great little tool.

OK to finish off we have theBalm Cosmetics Meet Matt(e) Hughes
This is my favorite product in this months bag. I love the shade, the texture and overall the lasting power. I love long lasting lipsticks and this one is a great mini addition to my collection.
Here is a snapchat picture I posted of me wearing it.
This is in the shade Committed. I love everything about this liquid lippie :). Follow me on snapchat for more silliness user name: daysio

Those are all my goodies for this month. Thank you so much for stopping by.

Much Love,

Mummy Makeup!

Are you guys prepared to see something truly creepy?! LOL my almost bare face...ha ha ha, NO really this is my costume reveal for this year and a pictorial of the steps I took to create my MUMMY look!
This is my final look! I love the way it turned out and practice makes perfect so hopefully by Halloween it will be even better.☺
What I used to complete this look:
Revlon Photo Ready: In a color lighter then my own (unfortunately I can't tell you the shade)
Maybelline Dream Pure BB: Medium Sheer also lighter then my own complexion.
bhcosmetics: Contour and Blush Palette (for white shade)
2 Coastal Scents Shadows: Vibrant Red and Antique Lilac
2 Morphe Shadows: In Coal ES28 and Velveteen ES72
MAC  Painterly and MAC Blacktrack fluidline gel liner
Jesse's Girl: liquid liner black
WetnWild:Fantasy Makers black
So go ahead and apply your very pale foundation, set everything with that stark white highlighting color in the palette. Then I used the red eye shadow and focused it on the bottom of the eyes, the corners and a little on the top. I used the black as the all over eyelid shade and used the gray to blend it all. As you can see I also shaded in my eyebrows ha ha ha. Who says a mummy can't have eyebrows on fleek?!
Whiteout your lips with the MAC painterly and use the gray eyeshadow to shade in your face, like you would normally contour but with gray.
Then comes a favorite part of mine. Make a kiss face and use your liquid liner to fill in your lines, kind of like a dramatic smoker mouth or smoker lips. Then I used the WetnWild lipstick in the center of my mouth leaving the rest white.
Here you want to use the gray, black and purple shadows to intensify the cheek bones and contours of the face. Deepen everything up until you are happy with the results.
I finished up by adding mascara, making more lines and adding black to my waterline and tightline.
Then you end up with a fabulous Mummy face and all you have left to do is add your bandages.
I really love the end result. Let me know what you will be this Halloween, I'd love to check it out.
Thank you so much for stopping by.

Have a Spooktacular day!

Favorite Fall Palettes

Hey guys so as a beauty lover I have accumulated a few palettes along the way. I love all of my palettes and use them often. I wanted to share some of my favorite palettes for the fall/winter time. When I think of fall I immediately think of warm tones, don't you?
So here I have a combination of older, newer and unfortunately some limited edition discontinued palettes.
These are some of my favorites. Lets start with the Balm Meet Matt(e) Nude Palette:
I love that this palette offers all matte colors. This has amazing shades and is super easy to travel with. You have 9 big eye shadows with great color payoff and a variation of warm, cool and neutral shades.

Next up is the Kat Von D Monarch Palette:
Let me start out by saying that Kat Von D knows her stuff, she is quickly becoming an obsession of mine! This isn't my only Kat Von D palette but it is my only fall favorite one. The quality of her shadows are amazing and they last forever. You get 12 shades in this palette and it truly is beautiful!

Now let's talk Too Faced Chocolate Bar:
This original chocolate bar is amazing in every aspect. I own the semi-sweet too but this one is by far my favorite of the two. This has beautiful colors and it smells amazing! Perfect Fall palette for sure!
This palette offers you 16 shades total. All rich in color payoff and phenomenal lasting power.

Ok this next one is the Morphe Colab with Jaclyn Hill: (unfortunately no longer available)
This is such a beautiful palette, seriously you guys all I have to say is Jaclyn is amazing and knows her stuff. She put me onto Morphe and I love their eye shadows and brushes. These are such beautiful shadows. 28 shadows total. They don't sale the palette anymore but you can buy these individually.

Somehow I am sure you all expected an Urban Decay Palette listed somewhere, well I have one and it's the newish amazing Naked Smoky Palette!
I think this is one of my favorite all time palettes! No joke it is gorgeous. I have created so many fabulous eye looks with this little jem! This offers 12 shades that are perfect and compliment each other so beautifully.

The next one is a more affordable palette, it's the Revealed 2 by Coastal Scents:
This palette is great, especially the price point. The colors are beautiful and they offer good color payoff. There is very little fall out and just a tad bit powdery but nothing bad, trust me. This includes 20 beautiful shades.

Last but certainly not least is the bhcosmetics It's Judy Time Palette: (Also no longer available)
So this palette is a colab with another YouTuber, Judy and it offers 12 lovely eyes shadows. This was also very affordable and the colors are beautiful. They are so rich in pigmentation with little to no fall out at all.

OK guys these are my Fall Favorite Palettes!
I hope you have enjoyed my little post. Thank you so much for stopping by.

Have a kick ass day!

DIY Dollar Store Witch Hat

Hey lovelies how are ya? Today I have a pretty cool DIY post. One of my favorite places to shop is none other than the dollar store or Dollar Tree. You can get some pretty inexpensive stuff and make it fabulous.  Every year I go to a Witch Fest here in Utah with my sisters, it's seriously SO much fun! Basically it's a day where all the women dress up as witches and shop till you drop! It's a lot of fun to see how creative everyone gets.
For this year I purchased this plain cheap hat.
What you will need or what I used:
1. A hat (any color)
2. Fake flowers
3. Decorative Mesh (looks like tulle but thicker)
4. Boa (I used a multi colored one, seen pictured below in orange and black)
5.  and any other decoration you see fit. I used a black skull, leaves and a glitter mini pumpkin.
So all I did was play around and decide where I wanted everything and I hot glued it to the hat.
Are you ready to see the final result?
This is the front of my hat. Everything is on the right side.
I LOVE how it turned out!
Here are other views:

The skull actually lights up in the eyes it's so cool! I spent a total of $7 to create this gorgeous hat. I can't wait to wear it. I am helping my sister out with her hat too, pretty excited to see all of our creations this year.

Let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. Have a wonderful weekend!

Much Love,
