Monthly Favorites for July 2015

Welcome to my July monthly favorites! I spoiled myself just a little bit this month. I went on a little shopping spree, at the Coach Factory at the Tanger outlets in Vegas. I will list the original prices on the items I purchased, however I got them "on sale".
I am going to start out with two of these products because I will not being going into too much details as I fully plan on doing a separate review on these two on my next blog post.

This is the 12CM Signature ZP TP Tote: F36375
Regular price: $275
Bottom line I love this purse, especially the size!
Next up is the matching wallet.
This is the 12CM Signature ZIP PHN: F53616
Original price: $150
As I mentioned above I will be doing a full review on my next blog post of these two but just know that I love them both oh so much.
Then you have the gorgeous Coach sunglasses
These are in the style HC 8116 (L087 Blair)
Original price $168
I am obsessed with these sunglasses they are so freaking nice. I've always wanted a pair like this to add to my collection. I have been wearing them non stop. I was always a little bit of a rayban junkie but these Coach ones are just plain fabulous!
In case you haven't noticed I am beyond obsessed about my Erin Condren Life Planner
This is the Ready to ship planner and the cost of this is $50
You can click here to get your own.
You can see a full unboxing and review of this planner click here to see that.
Really if it's on my monthly favorites I think you know what that means. Ha ha ha!
Next up is the perfect and gorgeous Kat Von D Shade + Late Palette
I have been wearing this all month. To see a full review of this palette including swatches, click here.
Next up is the perfect summer scented candle from Bath and Body Works in Oceanside.
This is a blend of sun-ripened citrus, juicy melon and refreshing ocean air brings you to a perfect day on the shore.
I have been burning this candle non stop. I love it so much.
I love the NYX lip products so much and this one is no exception.
This is the NYX soft matte lip cream in London. This is a beautiful liquid lipstick,
in a brownish nude color. These smell so good and apply so smooth. I love that even though they are matte they don't over dry my lips.
Here is another NYX lip product.
This is the NYX butter lipstick in POPS EXPLOSIF: BLS17
This is gorgeous! it has a satin finish and lives up the the "butter lipstick" title, it glides on like a dream. This is another beautiful nude with a rose pink undertones. I love this lipstick so much, it's one that I  consider your lips but better.
Last but certainly not least is my all time favorite MAC nude lipstick.
This is a matte finish in Velvet Teddy.
MAC lipsticks are some of my favorites and this one is a perfect addition to my collection. This is also like the NYX matte cream listed above a brownish nude color. Chances are if I am not wearing one of the two listed above I am wearing Velvet Teddy. This is one of those lipsticks that's a no brainer, it goes with everything. I have to put no thought into it. I grab it and go.
This is a must have in every one's collection.
There you have it guys, those are all my monthly favorites for July 2015. If you have favorites that you would like me to check out, please let me know and I'd love to take a look.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I want you to know that for the month of August I plan on being more organized with my posting schedule. I plan to post twice a week. On Mondays and Thursdays. That way you can expect a post from me on those days.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Much Love,

Ipsy July 2015

Hey ladies hope you are all doing great today I am going to share my July 2015 Ipsy bag.

Let's start with the Nudestix: Color Gilt
What it claims to do:
A soft and super gliding, easy to blend, eye color that's waterproof and long wearing. Ideal for oily lids, these fun and sassy touch n’go makeup stix provide a quick and easy ‘nude look, but better’ for all faces in all places.
Long-wearing (9 hours), water-proof, tear proof.
Quick-drying, non-sticky.
No animal testing.
Preservative free.

What I think about it:
So I actually really like this product. It's extremely easy to use and it really does last a long time. It's perfect for a cute super quick eye makeup look. This product is defintely water proof, I wore it out in the extreme heat when I was sweating bullets and everything melted off but the eyeshadow. I will cherish this little guy for sure. Side note, it is hard to remove, just use a good waterproof eye makeup remover.

Next up is: Eau Thermale Avene Cleanance: Gel Soapless Cleanser
What it claims to do:
This deep-penetrating, soap-free cleanser eliminates impurities and excess sebum without stripping the skin. With this triple action formula, including the patented active ingredient Glyceryl Laurate, sebum and oil production are inhibited and the bacteria responsible for blemishes is diminished, resulting in healthy, blemish-free skin.
Soap-free
Paraben-free
Suitable for sensitive skin

What I think about it:
Honestly I have so many cleansers that I only used this once for a mini review opportunity. I don't feel that is long enough to make an honest or clear review on any product, however I did like it. It was an interesting gel formula but took all of my makeup off and made my skin feel fresh. It didn't break my sensitive skin out, so that's a plus too.

Next up is: City Color HD Powder
What it claims to do:
City Color HD Powder sets your foundation for a smooth, matte finish. This finely-milled powder helps blur any imperfections and fills in fine lines to make sure you are always camera-ready. The translucent shade creates a shine-free and airbrushed look that works with all skin tones!
  • 100% Silica Powder
  • Matte finish
  • Prevents shine
  • Softens and evens out fine lines, imperfections, and pores.
What I think about it:
Not all HD powders are created equally, that is a fact. This one seems extremely soft to the touch and applies on smooth however it made me extra oily and I didn't like that one bit. I had to stop using it because of the excess oil it was giving me. I will try it again in the winter, but I was not a huge fan.

Next up: Octavio Molina Hair
What it claims to do:
A Spray infused with Algae Extract for added moisture. This spray uses the richness of the sea to create texture + volume.
Instructions:
  • Use it on wet hair for extra volume and texture.
  • Use it on dry hair for separation and movement.
  • Spray on the roots and blow dry for extra lift.
100% Cruelty Free.

What I think about it:
Another product I only used once. It did give me a lot of volume and texture, but it felt that it weighed my hair down. I have thin fine hair as it is, so I did like it for volume but I had to pull it back so that it looked good. I will finish using this up for sure, especially on lazy pull your hair back kind of days.

Lastly: Be A Bombshell Cosmetics Lip Balm: in French Kiss
What it claims to do:
Formula: Hydrating formula to leave lips feeling silky smooth with a hint of color.
Bombshell Application: Apply to top and bottom lips for full coverage.
Bombshell Tip: Reapply as needed to keep lips hydrated all day!

What I think about it:
It applies smoothly, it didn't dry out my lips like some can tend to do on me. It has no smell and doesn't have a bad taste. Overall it's a good lip balm. I like it. Nothing to complain about.

So really the only hiccup I had about this bag was that the texture spray came almost completely spilled all over the bag hence my picture (the first pic) where you can tell the card has water damage and everything else I had to dry out. Not too big of a deal especially because I did email Ipsy to tell them what happened and they were kind enough to send me a replacement, so all is good in the world. I liked my bag this month. Are you guys subscribed and if so, what did you get in your bag?

Thanks for stopping by.

Much Love,

Weekly Layout for EC Life Planner-July 2015

Hello my darlings, hope you all are doing fantastic. Today I have yet another EC Life Planner post. This one I am pretty excited about. These are my weekly layouts.
To see the first week and check out my first "plan with me post" click here.
Let's start with 7/6-7/12/2015
I wanted something fun, bright and colorful. As much as I love the red, white and blue from the first week, I wanted to spice this one up. I had some not so fun things going on this week, which was the main reason I wanted to make it fun and colorful.
Here is a closeup of  the left side↑
And here is a closeup of the right side↑
Here is my completed planned week (Left Side)↑
And the completed right side↑
 The next week is 7/13-7/19/2015
As you can probably tell this is the week I was going camping. I love camping! It kinda took over my planner for this week ;). Who needs room to plan anyway...ha ha ha j/k (well kind of).

and here you have the completed planned left side.↑
There is a lot going on here but I've learned a thing or two that you guys will see coming up for August!
The final part of this week, the completed right side↑
As you can probably tell I am just a "little" obsessed with my planner. Honestly I feel so much more organized. I already started into the August section since the last week in July is in the August section and I am learning so much as I go. I can't wait to share with you guys my August Monthly layout! It's my favorite yet.  It's literally only my second month owning this thing...ha ha ha. I am just super proud of it. I love that it allows my creativity to flow, that I get to share this with all of you that care to see it and I find it very therapeutic.#plannerjunkie

Thanks again for stopping by today, it means the world to me.

Plan with me #1 July 2015

Welcome to my first plan with me post. I have been having WAY too much fun decorating and planning. As you have seen in previous posts, I've done a few hauls and an unboxing. Click here to see the unboxing and to see how the planner looks plain. I started decorating this month with some washi tape and a few stickers. As seen above (monthly layout)

Here I started decorating my first weekly layout. I purchased the Erin Condren's horizontal view. I used washi tape again on this page plus some print outs to keep track of how much water I am drinking and indicating fireworks for the Fourth of July.
Then on the left side of my monthly layout I added Birthdays, a sticker for when I would be camping, plus a note flag to remind myself to refill my sons prescription.
(oh just wait for it, the planning has just begun).

Here is the right side (favorite side) of my life planner. Here I added a vacation banner made from washi tape, I added a scale to remind myself to weigh in and see my progress in my weight loss. I indicated my paydays & added more washi tape. To finish this off how cute are my little guys?! I googled these images and printed them and added them to my planner, they were the perfect final touch.
Here is my completed monthly layout. This includes all of my final touches and of course all of my reminders/tasks and to do's.
Here is a closeup of the left side of my monthly layout
Here is a closeup of the right side of my completed monthly layout.

And here is my completed weekly layout
I have some pretty amazing friends and their note made it on to my layout.
Forgive my horrid penmanship, I didn't love the pen I used and plan on improving it.
This is the closeup of the left side of my weekly layout
This is the closeup of my completed right side of my weekly layout.
I love the thoughtful thought section so much, we need to remember to be thankful for what we have and to make everyday count!
We are almost done. I just wanted to include this little add on memo I made with my own version of a coil clip. All you need are filing tabs and a 1/8th hole punch. I watched a tutorial on YouTube and here is the front of it. I don't show the back because I have personal stuff on it, but this was made with plain card stock, washi tape and stickers. I love how it turned out. You can find all sorts of tutorials online and on YouTube. Save money and make your own, I am all about that DIY life ;)

Here is the last picture with my little add on. I really enjoyed decorating and planning guys. I know I will only get better as the time goes on. I will be posting weekly layouts soon, so stay tuned and let me know if you have any questions and lastly thank you for reading my blog.

Much Love,

Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye and Studded Kiss Lipstick Palette Review

Did you guys miss my makeup posts? I missed posting makeup stuff for you guys.
Here we have the gorgeous Shade + Light Eye Palette. OMG guys, I really don't need another matte palette but I "HAD" to have this! Not only do I consider myself the queen of warm shades, this also offers neutral and cool shades. Basically this is set up to be three quads, you will see them broken down below.

These are highly pigmented shades and blend out seamlessly! They're long wearing over a primer and don't fade or crease through out the day.
You don't have to stick to the intended quads, you can pretty much use any color in and of the quads and they work well together. This is not your usual matte palette guys this is a must have in your collection. This is so beautiful and rich in color payoff. I haven't been able to use it as much as I would like, but the few times I have, I've gotten a ton of compliments on my makeup and it's just perfection!

Next up is the Studded Kiss Lipstick in Love Craft. This I got a sample size from my Sephora perk points. I wanted to test out the consistency and the wear on these lipsticks before I purchased a full size one.  I am obsessed, I will be purchasing a few of her full size lipsticks. The pigmentation is on point and the lasting power is as well. The packaging is perfection, I love this packaging more then any of my other lipsticks.

Let's talk price, I purchased this palette at Sephora for $46 and the Studded Lipstick in a full size would cost you $21.
Here are some swatches for you guys.
Quad 1:
Laetus, Samael, Solas and Lucius
Quad 2:
Lazarus, Saleos, Shax and Liberatus
Quad 3:
Ludwin, Succubus, Sytry and Latinus
Lastly here is one simple but beautiful eye look that I created, plus a lip swatch of Love Craft.

The Colors I used for this look were Laetus as an overall color, Lazarus as a crease defining color Saleos to deepen the crease, Liberatus as the pop of white on the lip and finished it off with a little Shax in the outer V to deepen the look at bit.

Ok so let's rate this palette.
Packaging: Beautiful, Kat Von D makes everything appealing to the eye.
Price: $46 Typical for a Palette, worth every dime especially with the amount of product you get.
Longevity: Lasts all day
Quality: Amazing. Perfect color payoff and little to no fall out.
Overall rating: A+
Side note, this rating also applies for the studded lipstick A+ all the way!

This is now officially my new favorite palette ever and that is saying a lot! It use to be the Too Faced Chocolate Bar, which I still love but Kat Von D out did herself with this palette. I love everything about it.

Alright my friends that does it for this long review, thanks for stopping by today.

Much Love Always,
