Monthly Favorites: April 2016

Hey guys and welcome to my last post of April, we are ending the month with my favorites!
I don't have too many items to share with you this month but the ones I do have are amazing products. Most of these products are pretty inexpensive but so worth checking them out.

Let's start with the Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water
Oh my goodness guys this stuff is the BOMB! It takes off every single bit of makeup from your skin and it feels SO refreshing AND I love that I don't have to rinse if I don't want to. You don't have to tug on your skin to remove eye makeup either, it is truly the best product in the market I have found in a hot minute. I do want to add that I have SUPER sensitive skin and this did not break me out or cause me any problems at all. Give this a go guys, it will not disappoint.

Next up is the newly packaged and renovated
Wet n Wild Mega liner

I liked the original formula just fine but this new one is even more pigmented and applies so smoothly. I love everything about it. For a couple of bucks it's a no brainer, try it out guys!

Next is the new Hard Candy Fierce Effects Lipsticks
I did a full post on this product so check it out, just click here.It is truly the best $5 lipstick in the market.

Next is another Hard Candy Product.
The Hard Candy Envy Hydrating Primer Mist
This is SO amazing! I HIGHLY recommend it. I did a post on this too if you clicked on the post for the lipstick then you saw it's the same one, in case you didn't here it is; click here.
Let me tell you that I will continue to purchase this over and over again!

Last but certainly not least is the FABULOUS
Bare Escentuals; Bare Minerals
Mineral Veil
This is hands down the BEST overall face setting powder EVER!
I have tried more than I'd like to admit too but nothing compares to the flawless look this powder gives you.

For the ultimate, translucent "finishing touch" to your makeup, Mineral Veil melts into your skin, infusing it with softness and light, giving the look you see with a soft focus camera lens. Buff on Mineral Veil over bareMinerals Foundation to lend extra staying power.

This is a rediscovered product for me and the only high end product I have to share with you this month. I had forgotten how much I love it. It gives me that "perfect skin" appearance. It hides all of my fine lines and gives me baby smooth looking skin. I was blown away when I used it again after so many years.
I use to be loyal to Bare Minerals only wearing them but haven't in about three years. Now I mix it up and use so many brands. Guys let me tell you that I have a travel size in my purse and a full size in my regular makeup collection because I am obsessed with this since rediscovering it. I even dare say I like it more than the very popular RCMA No-Color Powder. I haven't used another product since rediscovering this one. This out of all the products mentioned today is the one I love the most and the one I would recommend you try!

Ok guys that does it for my monthly favorites. Thank you SO much for stopping by!

Much Love,

Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 1 thoughts....

Hey loves I hope you all had an amazing weekend! I wanted to do something a little different today. I wanted to discuss my favorite show ever. I have been watching this since the very beginning. I have strong feelings about many of the characters but my all time favorite is Jon Snow! If you don't watch this or haven't caught up you can go ahead and tune in Thursday.

Let's discuss last night's episode...

Jon Snow:
I must say I am disappointed that my beloved Jon Snow was not resurrected in the first episode.
My hope is that he will still come back to us, I am not giving up hope...can't.
In this story line I am truly looking forward in seeing the wildlings coming back to defend Jon's body and kicking some major ass.

Sansa and Theon:
I am beyond happy that these two made the long jump and that they are sticking together. It's about time that Theon did something good.

Brienne:
Girlfriend was my hero in the season 6 premier!
I love how she rescued Sansa Stark and Theon Greyjoy. The Starks are still my favorite in the series and I am hoping that after all that they have endured all will prevail.

Arya Stark:
Sad to see that she is now completely blind yet happy that it seems though unfair they are training her for something? What can that something be?! An assassin perhaps? I don't know. She is still very much alive and that gives me a great sense of hope.

Daenerys:
I was pretty happy to see that her feistiness was still very much on point. She declared who she was what she thought and was basically told she wouldn't be touched by any Dothraki.

Cersei and Jamie Lanister:

I fully expected Cersei to lose her sh*t when she found out about her daughter, Myrcella. She however didn't which was pretty shocking to me. I think for all the horrible things she has been through losing two of her children being forced to walk, naked though the kingdom. She is going to wreak havoc on that kingdom. Of that I have no doubt.
Jamie is standing strong reassuring Cersei that they will make everyone pay for all that they have been through. That they are the only ones that matter.

Melisandre:
The twist on this story line is one of the most intriguing ones for me. I love that she showed her true appearance. She is truly old and looks as though she has lost her faith. I don't think it is that simple though. I think there is more...

Sand Snakes:
The Sand Snakes have betrayed their king, Doran Martell  and his son Trystane Martell. All because they hate the Lannisters. It goes to show that all of the good characters in this show die. Sad sad fact.

This was a great setup to a new season. I am truly looking forward to all of the storylines coming together. If you aren't a Game of thrones fans, sorry but I had to make a post of my all time favorite show so far. If you do watch it and have input let me know what you thought of last nights episode?!

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Plan with Me-April 2016 Weekly Layouts

Hey guys, it's that time again to share my fun weekly layouts. I had the day off yesterday so I was unable to post however I wanted to make sure to have a second post up this week. Thank you for understanding!

This month has been some of my favorite layouts in a while. As usual these will all be pre-pen. I hope you enjoy them or get inspiration if you also have a horizontal layout. My planner is the Erin Condren Life Planner.

I REALLY loved how this turned out. Those bees are so darn cute, perfect for the spring. I incorporated a lot of yellow, flowers and that super cute vine washi tape. The sticker were from a sticker book I purchased at Michaels, so is the vine washi. I don't remember where I got the other washi sorry guys! Lastly if you wonder what I use the flags for is to track my steps for the day from my fitbit :).

My inner child was jumping up and down for this particular layout. I mean Hello Kitty?! Enough said. Ha ha! This is a super busy, super girly layout. I freaking love it. The Rainbow washi was a perfect fit to this layout! The stickers were from a sticker book I purchased at Walmart. The washi tapes came from a huge pack I purchased at Target. The weekend banner was purchased on Etsy The shop name is Sticker Pixie.

Next up is this fun fruit layout. I got all of these cute sticker at the Dollar tree and the inspiration was pretty easy. This spread is so bright and cheerful I love how it turned out. The weekend sticker was purchased on Etsy and the shop is also from Sticker Pixie.

One thing you guys might not know about me is that I love Game of Thrones on HBO and this layout is dedicated to that show. I love how this turned out, the show airs this Sunday AHH!!! The stickers were purchased from Pink Rose Printing an Etsy shop. I love the sticker but honestly wouldn't recommend her shop. Very poor communication, extremely slow shipping and it is by far the lowest rating I have ever given a shop. It's too bad too because I really do like the product. I can go on and on about this layout so I will say that I am pretty proud of the blood I drew and colored in by hand.

(Can you tell that Jon Snow is my favorite?!) ha ha

Well guys I hope you enjoy these type of posts because I really enjoy sharing them. I get inspiration from other planners and hopefully I can inspire others.

Thank you so much for stopping by today. Please feel free to comment if you are a planner yourself and if you have etsy shops, or instagram accounts or blogs like me; I'd love to check them out!

XOXO,

Hard Candy Sheer Envy Hydrating Primer Mist & New Fierce Effects Lipstick Review

Guys I want you to discover two awesome new products from Hard Candy. Hard Candy is one of those companies that I feel is completely underrated. They make some pretty awesome products and I have quite a few favorites from their line. Today let's discuss two brand-new products that I honestly 100% believe everyone should try.

I want to start with the most excited about you guys this one is so amazing! It's the primer water.

Hard Candy Sheer Envy Hydrating Primer Mist 12HR Power, $8
Guys let me start off by telling you that this worth more than the price tag on it. This product smells devine! It's extremely refreshing & hydrating. It's beautiful before any makeup application but also to set makeup. There is NO reason to buy the expensive version, like the very popular smashbox primer water. Trust me I've tried them both & Hard Candy does the trick perfectly.

What Hard Candy Claims:

"This lightweight primer mist hydrates skin and revitalizes radiance. You will get the benefits of priming, hydrating, and refreshing your face. Coconut water infused to boost hydration benefits for up to 12 hours. Leaves skin soft, smooth, and supple."

And guys I couldn't agree more on all of their claims. Keep in mind that I have combo skin so if I love it those with dry skin would love it even more. I must admit I like it pre-makeup more only because it feels so nice. It doesn't leave a film or any stickiness and foundation applies smoothly over it.

Hard Candy Fierce Effects Lipstick, $5.00
Next up are these crazy cute & highly pigmented new lipsticks.
What Hard Candy Claims:
Highly pigmented lip with an ultra soft weightless texture
Formula is infused with Argan oil for added moisture and shine
Available in 18 shades including Chalkin Pink, Provocative, Show Off, Galactica, Newly Berried, Prowler, Glisten to Me, Thunder, Black Diamond, Slylac, Heart Breaker, Sky’s the Limit, Nudist, Seduced, Sunshine, Night Queen, Jealousy and Virtual Reality
These lipsticks aren't just pretty on to display they're so comfortable to wear. They are so creamy and highly pigmented. I have a cute story...
I purchased one for me & one for my niece. At only 5 almost 6 years old she and I share a passion for makeup. She's my princess & I "had" to get her one too!
Isn't she a doll?! She's wearing Slylac (purple is her favorite color so I wanted to get her a fun color).
My color is in Nudist. It is a very beautiful nude. I'm really enjoying it.
Here is a picture of me and my son. I am wearing this beautiful lipstick.
I'm loving the shinny lips this spring. I also love that I can make any of my mattes glossy 😉. If you don't like glossy lips you can also find products or methods to make them matte.
Ok guys hopefully I've talked these products enough to get you guys curious enough to want to try them.
Thanks SO much for stopping by.

Makeup Forever Step 1 Skin Equalizer- Mattifying Primer Review

Hey Guys I have another product review for you guys today.
I ended up picking this up from Sephora to try out. I have combo to oily skin so I wanted to give it a try mainly for my T-zone.

This product is $37 30ml OR $17 for 15ml

Details:

STEP1 is the range of skin equalizers developed to refine, smooth and even out. Our exclusive Equalizer Complex delivers 3 key actions:

- APPLICATION : makeup goes on seamlessly

- RESULT : optimized color & finish

- WEAR: longer staying power

MATTIFYING PRIMER is the answer to unwanted shine, fighting against excess oil to ensure a matte makeup result. Formulated with our specific Sebustop Vegetal Complex, this first step equalizer instantly reduces pore size and controls shine for a flawless makeup all day long.

My experience with this Primer:

OK guys so this primer is no joke, when it says it's mattifying it's mattifying like big time.
Now I just use it on my extreme problem areas I ended up picking this up from Sephora to try out. I have combo to oily skin so I wanted to give it a try mainly for my T-zone. The product comes out a clearish creamy color and had no scent, which I really appreciate.
This product immediately removes any type of shine to your skin. It is easy to blend and lasts a very long time. Makeup really does apply seamlessly over this product. I am very impressed with it. Honestly my only negative remark about this is if you have mature skin I'd avoid it. I notice that I can't wear it on my forehead where I have most of my wrinkles because it doesn't fill them in like pore filling type primers. It makes those forehead wrinkles very noticeable. I have strictly started applying it to my nose, and the areas surrounding my nose for that very reason.  Those with extremely oily skin can really benefit from this primer. I will continue to use it to prolong my makeup and avoid looking overly oily.

Side note: I have extremely sensitive skin and this did not clog my pores or break me out!

I do recommend this but only if you are oily!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Favorite Sring Lippies

Hey guys, I am really excited to share my favorite spring lippies with y'all. I love spring and it's a great time to break out some fun bright colors. I've incorporated liquid lipsticks, regular lipsticks, a crayon type lipstick and a few lip glosses.
Here are swatches from each lippie seen pictured above in the same order.

Starting with the first one, it is the Two Faced Melted in Peony
This is such a beautiful color.  It's not as in your face as some of the colors I will be sharing but it's also not a nude color.

The next one is also by Two Faced in Fuchsia
I was a little torn with picking this one because it is so bold.  This is one of those lippies that is perfect for the spring and summer. The thing is that there really aren't rules about when you can or can't wear certain colors, just where what you like when you want.

Moving on to Stila (by far some of my all time favorite liquid lippies!) in Como
This is such a stunning color. I know purple is one of those colors that you either love or hate. I personally love it! (I contemplated adding Heroine by MAC too but I decided on this tone better)

Next is also by Stila in Patina
This is a beautiful mauve color. This is one of those colors that can look very different on everyone based on your skin tone. I really enjoy this color.

It was SO hard to minimize my all time favorite lipsticks MAC to two favorite spring ones.
Let's start with MAC Creme de la femme (my only Frost lipstick)
Ok as I've already mentioned I am usually not a fan of frosted lipsticks at all but let me tell you this color is absolutely gorgeous! It has a light sheen but what I love about it is that it's literally a perfect you lip color but better. When I wear this it makes my lips look smooth, moisturized and just gorgeous. I get so many compliments when I wear this color. It's one that you have to try to see for yourself.

Next is also by MAC in Rebel
Ok most will think I'm crazy because it looks so dark and most are trying to get away from dark tones for the spring. Here's the thing though this is such a beautiful plummy purple. It's so pretty. Check out the swatch it's so so pretty.

Next up I am going to share Colourpop Lippie Stix in Brink
This color is so pretty because it's a peachy nude. The color pay off on these lippie stix's are amazing. They are also very comfortable to wear. This is what I reach for when I feel I want a subtle color with a hint of orange. It is such a lovely color.

Next up I have Bite Beauty lip gloss in Bellini
This gloss is pretty pigmented for a gloss and extremely beautiful. It has a little tackiness to it but nothing uncomfortable or annoying. I love hoe pretty it makes my pout look.

Next up are the lovely and all time favorite lip glosses for me.
The NXY Butter gloss in Apple Strudel and Raspberry Tart

I can't even begin to tell you how much I love these lip glosses. These are so comfortable, they smell SO good. I love everything about these glosses. These are not highly pigmented by any means but they are lovely.
You made it to the end congrats!! Here is a last picture of my swatches for your reference with the names listed.
Thank you SO much for stopping by!
Have a fantastic week.
